By Road: The drive to Carn Du takes 4.5 hours from London. Take the M4 to Bristol, then the M5 to Exeter,then A30 to Penzance. From Penzance take the main road around the bay to Newlyn. Upon crossing the bridge in the centre take the road ahead for Lamorna and proceed up the hill out of Newlyn. Follow this road through the village Sheffield before taking a left fork to Raginnis. Turn left at the signpost marked Raginnis, pass through this small hamlet and proceed down the hill bearing left past a couple of cottages and the entrance for Carn Du will be found a few hundred yards on the left hand side. The address is: Carn Du, Raginnis Hill, Mousehole, Cornwall TR19 6SS.

By Rail: The London Paddington to Penzance mainline ends overlooking Mount’s Bay just yards from the sea.Take a taxi from here to the house. Returning, the sleeper service departs Penzance late, pulling in at the Heathrow Express platform of Paddington station around 5.30 am, disembarkation can be as late as 8.00 am.
A handy tip: to cut down your travelling time by train, get out at Exeter St David's, and jump into your pre-arranged taxi (Loraine can order one for you, £120).
